Did Ash’s hand grow back?

You can still hear the chainsaw but that is clearly his real hand.

I never noticed this until Bruce mockingly pointed it out on the commentary because fans kept emailing him about it. 

I always presumed they’d flipped a shot by mistake.  I can’t remember what he says in the commentary, but now I want to re-watch for it.

He says in the commentary they flipped it around because otherwise it would look like he was going in the wrong direction for that one shot
